The 11th annual New Directions Cello Festival took place June 24 - 26, 2005 at Lawrence University in Appleton Wisconsin.

* Natalie Haas (NY) www.nataliehaas.com currently playing with Mark O'Connor in a trio with violist Carol Cook AND finishing her last year at Julliard! Also plays with Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser.

* Mark O'Connor (CA) www.markoconnor.com Fiddle virtuoso Mark O'Connor and violist Carol Cook will be joining Natalie to give some workshops!

* Saskia De Haas (India) www.saskiarao.com she will be joined by a tabla player for a concert of traditional Indian music. Saskia plays a unique ½ size cello (with 5 bowed strings and 10 resonating strings) sitting on the floor.

* Rushad Eggleston (NY) www.rushadeggleston.com active in Boston and New York with his own bands (like the Wild Band of Snee) as well as performing with Darol Anger and Grammy nominated "Fiddlers Four" among others.

* Martha Colby (NY) www.marthacolby.com plays with a wide variety of bands and accompanies lots of singers

* Dimos Goudaroulis (Brazil) No web site at this point. A Greek cellist who has been based in Brazil for many years. Dimos plays often in Europe and in South and North America in classical, jazz, Latin and experimental groups.
